COVID-19 – ADDITONAL TERMS & INFORMATION INCLUDING CHECK-IN, CHECK-OUT DETAILS FOR 2020.
Considering the current Covid-19 situation we have made a few changes at Jenny Wren Holidays to hopefully reassure our guests and help keep our cleaners safe. If you have any concerns, do get in touch.
Do not travel if you or a member of your party are ill or displaying symptoms (a high temperature, a new, continuous cough or a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste) or if you have been told to self-isolate. Let us know as soon as possible.
PLEASE NOTE THAT DUE TO THE ADDITIONAL WORK INVOLVED IN CHANGEOVERS, CHECK IN WILL NOW BE FROM 4PM (departure 10am remains unchanged).
Please do not arrive early. Sometimes guests do, and this year more than ever we do not want cleaners to feel rushed. We know you are keen to start your holiday after a long drive but I’m sure you can appreciate the reasons. If an earlier arrival time is possible, I will contact you by text.
On arrival guests will find the keys to the bungalows in a keysafe (sanitised) by the front door. You will receive your key code with your arrival information email.
For this season we have chosen not to supply bed linen and towels as there is extra risk involved with handling and it takes quite a bit of time stripping and remaking beds, which would be better spent cleaning and disinfecting.
You will need to bring your own duvet cover, sheet, pillowcases and towels. We will provide the duvet and pillows and a tea towel. Make sure you have the correct size for the beds in the bungalow you are booked in at. (On departure please remove the mattress and pillow protectors and place them in the bag provided. Seal it and place the bag in the shower cubicle).
Any small fanlight windows in bedrooms should be left slightly open on departure. If the windows only have large openers, then leave them on ‘open lock’ where they are open a fraction, but the handle can be closed.
We will still leave individually wrapped tea bags, sugar, coffee, biscuits and milk.
We will remove loose decorative cushions.
For safety we will remove our tourist information leaflets and visitors’ book. Our website has suggestions of places to go and the guest login also has local information that I am adding to.
We recommend you use the ‘manage my booking’ facility – you will see this on your booking confirmations. Set up a password and you get access to information and can check your payments.

We will be leaving our information folder for guests who don’t do online stuff! We recommend washing hands before and after handling it.
With regards to pots, pans and crockery etc – If you have any concerns about using the equipment please rewash before using.
At the end of your stay please bag up the mattress and pillow protectors, tea towel & oven gloves and leave it in the shower.
How do you stop the risk of cross-contamination onto the pillow or mattress whilst stripping them? When removing the protectors, do it carefully turning them inside out on themselves. With a mattress protector you can take off at all corners and fold in on itself.
Empty the bins and place in the main large bins at the bottom of the site. Maintain social distancing while walking on site.
Ensure windows are left ajar as mentioned previously.
We have liaised with our cleaners and owners and adopted cleaning practices in line with UK Hospitality Guidelines – we are using products certified to EN1276 for bacteria and EN14476 for Viruses. Steam cleaning of soft furnishings and/ or suitable spray disinfectant will be used.
We also have properties operating a buffer week in between bookings to allow the property to lie dormant for 3 days before and after cleaning.
All hard surfaces, door handles, light switches, remote controls need to be sanitised as well as exterior gate latches, keys and key safe.
There will be an assortment of household disinfectants supplied for you to use during your stay such as Zoflora and Dettol.
We are not supplying wipes or disposable gloves as these are ending up in our oceans! Washing hands is the most effective thing you can do.
We have thorough Covid-19 risk assessments in place and can provide these on request. A cleaning checklist is used for every changeover.
- Should you or any of your party present with any Covid-19 symptoms within 14 days before your holiday, you should inform us immediately and we will endeavour to move your booking to an alternative date.
- If you present with symptoms while on holiday you should notify us and return home to self-isolate according to current government guidance.
- If you have acute symptoms such as breathing difficulties, seek help immediately.
